Magic medieval castle
Once upon a time in a far, far away land… stood a castle. Or two.
Being a newbie in the industry, I was kind of standing on the crossroad between Blender and Unreal for a while, being unable to make a decision where to put my main efforts on. But, after giving the UE a try, I can now boldly name it as my primary visualisation tool for architecture. As I am particularly interested in archvis, and UE offers so many tools out of the box, literary one fucking click away, I think the choice is well justified.
Still, Blender remains to be my primary instrument for modelling and sculpting of scene-specific, custom assets, and potentially for animation and rigging. As for the texturing, I am planning to give the Substance Painter a try. Even though it’s not free, it has reputation of a tool that really streamlines texturing.
